Too easy. A quick look at the video was all I needed to put the newly created tone into itunes, then onto my phone. Couldn't survive without this app to make myself custom ringtones, I hope Apple give permission to load created tones straight to the phone though!
The only bad thing about this app is having to connect to iTunes after you've made your tone to load it, but the process is very simple and easy instructions are given thankfully! Despite each new release of iTunes being harder to use and just generally worse each time, this app remains easy to use.

GarageBand on iOS lets you save your own creations as ringtones, to be used immediately. Probably the intention of ringtone export in GarageBand is to let you use your own creations as notifications, but thanks to the easy import of pretty much any audio into GarageBand, you can also use it to load third-party ringtones onto your iPhone. Step one is to grab that ringtone. Grab the ringtone from the internet, or pick another audio clip, and follow along.

This will open a new blank audio track. Then, switch to the Files app. Just drop it into the row next to the little mic icon. Another way to access your audio file is via the Loops picker. Tap the little Loop icon , which looks like you scribbled a circle without joining the ends properly.
